Immersive 'Parasite' and BTS Concert to Meet Hallyu Fans in Hong Kong and Russia
Government to Host 'Korea: Three-Dimensional Imagination' "An Opportunity for Hallyu Expansion and Overseas Advancement"
The movie Parasite, transformed into immersive content, and the BTS concert will meet Hallyu fans in Hong Kong and Russia. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Culture and Information Service, and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 5th that they will hold "Korea: Three-Dimensional Imagination" in Hong Kong (May 5?25 at Portal 6311) and Moscow, Russia (May 12?June 3 at the Korean Cultural Center in Russia). This exhibition reinterprets the essence of Hallyu content by combining it with immersive technology in various forms. It was previously held in July at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and the Korean Cultural Center in France, attracting over 10,000 visitors.

The exhibition features seventeen immersive content works. These include Parasite using virtual reality (VR), the BTS concert Map of the Soul One newly composed with extended reality (XR) and VR, and Jungle utilizing projection mapping (a technology that projects images to make objects appear differently). Also exhibited are the National Museum of Korea’s popular works in Paris, The King's Procession, Together with the People, Shinbi Apartment Media Adventure: I Will Save You, and Hong Sung-dae’s Square: Beyond the Movement. Kim Young-soo, Director of the Content Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "We aim to use this as an opportunity not only to spread Hallyu but also to promote the overseas expansion of our content companies."
