Wemade Makes Strategic Investment in Game Developer Action Square to Expand WEMIX Ecosystem
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] On the 5th, Wemade announced that it has signed a business agreement for cooperation and made a strategic investment with Action Square, a mobile game development company.
Action Square is the game developer behind 'Blade for Kakao,' the first mobile game to receive the Korea Game Award. Since then, it has consecutively released 'Samguk Blade' and 'Blade 2 for Kakao,' achieving stable results. Currently, it is developing global new titles such as the PC and console shooting action game ANVIL and 'Kingdom: The Blood of the Royal Family,' based on the popular Netflix intellectual property (IP), for multiple platforms.
Wemade plans to integrate the games owned by Action Square into its blockchain platform WEMIX for service and to build a broad cooperative relationship extending to the metaverse business.
Additionally, Wemade aims to expand its game lineup and continue investments with the goal of launching 100 games using WEMIX as the base currency by the end of next year.

Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, said, "We plan to expand and sustain investments in games and developers using WEMIX as the base currency," adding, "We will integrate Action Square's well-made games into WEMIX for global service."
