View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] American YouTuber MrBeast (real name Jimmy Donaldson), who has over 70 million subscribers, has recreated the set from the popular Netflix drama Squid Game and started recruiting participants for the game. The YouTuber has revealed the appearance of the set to be used in the game and is selling various products to raise prize money.
On the 4th (local time), MrBeast posted on his social media account, "The Squid Game set is nearing completion. Good luck to the 456 participants next week."
That day, he also revealed part of the interior of the set where the "real-life Squid Game" will take place. The photos shared by MrBeast show a large swing, ladders, and a maze. He plans to use this set to hold games similar to those featured in the drama.
Last month, MrBeast pledged on his video streaming app TikTok that if his subscriber count surpassed 10 million, he would host a real-life Squid Game. He reached the target number of subscribers just two days after making the pledge and has now begun preparations to produce the live-action Squid Game as promised.

He is also selling T-shirts with the phrase "MrBeast Game" to raise prize money for the winner. However, specific details about the prize money and payment method have not yet been disclosed.
Meanwhile, MrBeast, born in 1998, is a YouTuber known for planning large-scale games with prize money. Recently, he has created content featuring a game of tag with a $500,000 (approximately 591 million KRW) prize and a diamond heist worth $100,000 (approximately 118 million KRW).
