Seoul-style Smart Healthcare First Recruitment Closes Early in 8 Hours... Expert Forum on the 5th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's pledge, the 'Seoul-type Smart Healthcare,' saw an early closure as 10,000 people applied in the first recruitment for the 'OnSeoul HealthOn' pilot project, Seoul City announced on the 5th.
Seoul City will hold the OnSeoul HealthOn Forum to officially launch the project and discuss its vision with participating citizens, healthcare managers, and experts.
The OnSeoul HealthOn Forum will be held on the 5th at the multipurpose hall on the 8th floor of City Hall, conducted both online and offline to prevent COVID-19. About 100 participants, including pilot project citizens and healthcare managers, will attend.
The forum consists of two parts: Part 1 is the 'OnSeoul HealthOn' launch performance, and Part 2 is an expert forum. It will be broadcast live on the Live Seoul YouTube channel and is open for anyone to watch.
Part 1 includes an introduction to the 'OnSeoul HealthOn' project and a performance where the mayor and citizens light up the 'OnSeoul HealthOn.' In Part 2, Professor Kang Jae-heon from Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine will present on the 'Current Status of Non-face-to-face Health Management Services Using Domestic Digital Healthcare,' and Professor Park Nam-soo from Hyupsung University will discuss the 'Prospects of Non-face-to-face Health Management Services Utilizing Digital Healthcare.' Following this, Dr. Son Chang-woo from the Seoul Institute will lead a discussion on the 'Direction and Vision for the Seoul-type Smart Healthcare Project.'
'OnSeoul HealthOn' is a pilot project of Seoul-type Smart Healthcare that lends smart bands to 50,000 Seoul citizens this year and supports citizens' self-directed health management remotely.
Applications can be made through the OnSeoul HealthOn website, and recruitment will be conducted in three rounds on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure stable service provision. The first round of 10,000 applicants was filled within 8 hours on the 1st, and the second round will begin on the 22nd.

Park Yu-mi, Director of the Seoul City Citizen Health Bureau, said, “We will announce the launch and officially start the project through this OnSeoul HealthOn Forum. Given the interest shown even before the project began, we hope Seoul-type Smart Healthcare will take a leap forward, with more people participating to improve the self-health management level of Seoul citizens.”
