View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Division (PCC), which is investigating the so-called 'accusation inducement' allegations, is summoning Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party who is believed to have delivered the accusation documents targeting ruling party figures to the political sphere, for questioning on the 3rd.
According to legal circles, the PCC is expected to summon Representative Kim to the Government Complex Gwacheon on this day as a suspect for investigation. He had postponed the summons citing the National Assembly audit schedule but is reported to have agreed to be questioned on this day.
Representative Kim is accused of conspiring with Son Joon-sung, then the Investigation Information Policy Officer at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, in April last year to induce accusations against ruling party figures on two occasions (charges include abuse of authority and violation of the Public Official Election Act).
The PCC summoned Prosecutor Son the previous morning and questioned him until late afternoon about whether he drafted the accusation documents and the details of their delivery. On this day, Representative Kim is also expected to be questioned based on his phone conversations with Jo Sung-eun, the initial whistleblower in this case. Kim communicated with Jo via Telegram when sending the accusation documents and attached materials, and this conversation became known after Jo released the recorded transcripts.
According to the call transcripts released by Jo, Representative Kim repeatedly made remarks suggesting the accusation documents were related to the prosecution, such as "We will draft the initial version and send it to you," and "It should be submitted to the Southern District Prosecutors' Office."

Based on the Telegram messenger messages labeled 'Sent by Son Joon-sung,' the PCC is likely to inquire about possible collusion with Prosecutor Son or other prosecution officials. Additionally, regarding the part in the transcripts where Kim said, "If I go to file the accusation, it will come out that 'Yoon Seok-yeol ordered the accusation,'" the PCC may also investigate any connections with former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol.
