Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Conducts Special Quarantine Inspections for Academies Preparing for CSAT
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education is operating a special safety period for examinees at academies and other institutions during the two weeks before the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) (November 4?17), ahead of the exam on November 18. They are strengthening recommendations to refrain from face-to-face lessons and special quarantine inspections before the exam.
According to the Office of Education on the 2nd, to minimize the risk of infection or quarantine for examinees until the exam, they recommended refraining from face-to-face classes at academies during this period (remote classes are allowed during this time) and requested the Academy Association to comply with quarantine rules and strengthen self-inspections.
Additionally, to create an environment where examinees can safely take the exam, joint inspections with the Ministry of Education and local governments will be conducted from two weeks before the CSAT to check compliance with basic quarantine rules. They plan to continuously provide guidance on recommending PCR pre-tests to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
On the 1st, Kim Hwan-sik, Deputy Superintendent of Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, visited entrance exam academies to guide and inspect quarantine rules.
Deputy Superintendent Kim Hwan-sik said, "We hope everyone will do their best to create an environment where examinees can safely take the exam," and added, "In the situation where phased daily recovery is progressing, we will continue to conduct quarantine inspections of academy facilities for the safety of examinees."
