Namwon-si Completes 99.1% Distribution of National Support Fund
[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk (Mayor Lee Hwan-joo) announced on the 2nd that out of 74,870 eligible recipients for the COVID-19 mutual aid national support fund, 74,188 people have received 18,547 million KRW, achieving a 99.1% application rate.
This is because continuous promotion of the national support fund application was conducted through community and village meetings as well as various media outlets, and especially proactive on-site application services were provided at the eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers, enabling most citizens to receive the mutual aid national support fund.
The application methods were 26,114 people (35.2%) via credit/debit card (online application) and 48,004 people (64.8%) via anonymous prepaid card (offline application).
For those not eligible for the COVID-19 mutual aid national support fund, the city provided support to 4,286 out of 5,162 people, achieving an 83% application rate, and applications will be accepted at the eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers of their residence until the 12th of next month.
The mutual aid national support fund must be used at affiliated Namwon Sarang gift certificate merchants within the city by the end of next month, and any unused amount will be reclaimed by the government.
Mayor Lee Hwan-joo stated, “In the era of With Corona, we will continue to pay attention and make efforts so that all citizens and the local economy can take a step forward toward mutual prosperity.”
