Busan City to Host 'Pangpar' at BEXCO 2nd Exhibition Hall from November 4 to 6
Fintech and Blockchain Companies Participate, Showcasing Metaverse and AI Technologies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The largest financial technology expo in the southeastern region, which comprehensively introduces successful asset management methods, will be held at BEXCO in Busan.
Busan City announced on the 2nd that it will jointly host the '2021 Busan Money Show' with Maeil Business Newspaper for three days from the 4th to the 6th.
Marking its 11th year, the 2021 Busan Money Show will feature an exhibition with about 170 booths operated by 70 companies in the fintech and blockchain industries.
Additionally, there will be financial seminars, a conference reflecting the trend of digital financial transformation, and side events such as an investment IR (Investor Relations) show.
At the exhibition, major financial public institutions and companies will showcase content utilizing metaverse and AI (artificial intelligence) technologies.
The Korea Exchange will conduct lectures on gold, stock futures, and ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds) through the metaverse, and Busan Bank will present the latest fintech technology that uses AI to recognize customers' faces for identity verification.
Also, 'Snowdoc,' a blockchain startup highly praised by Microsoft as the 'future of K-Pop,' will demonstrate technology that broadcasts metaverse performances worldwide.
Snowdoc launched the first domestic NFT (Non-Fungible Token) platform service in April to promote K-Pop and K-Culture globally.
At the U-Space BIFC Pavilion, where fintech startups residing in the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC) participate, metaverse-themed seminars and content demonstrations will be held.
IT professionals and students in the Busan area will have the opportunity to experience digital transformation across various fields.
At the Digital Finance Conference, held for the first time this year, presentations and panel discussions on the value and prospects of virtual assets including NFTs and the metaverse will take place.
The financial seminars will provide useful information related to global economic outlooks and domestic and international investments.
At the investment IR show, a side event, about ten institutional investors will participate to provide information on funds and investment plans, and offer one-on-one matching consultations to support startups.
Additionally, as a side event, Busan fintech startups and SK Planet, a leading data company, will showcase the 'Small Business Support Solution' they are jointly developing.
This solution offers business analysis and sales expansion plans based on information such as sales, location, and credit to small business owners in the Busan area.
On the 4th, Busan City plans to sign an agreement at the U-Space BIFC Pavilion with SK Planet, BC Card, Hana Card, and the Global Fintech Industry Promotion Center to foster the data-based fintech industry.
