According to Daekyo, this service is characterized by utilizing the first Korean language education BERT engine developed by an edutech company to assess abilities such as reading comprehension, answer-finding skills, and writing proficiency.
The Korean language education BERT engine developed by Daekyo consists of a ‘Q&A engine’ and an ‘automatic grading engine for short-answer questions.’ First, the ‘Q&A engine’ applies a deep learning-based Machine Reading Comprehension (MRC) model. When learners read a passage and create various dynamic types of questions themselves, the AI understands the meaning of the learner's questions and finds appropriate answers even to high-level questions. Through this, learners can develop the ability to read given passages and ask questions.
The ‘automatic grading engine for short-answer questions’ applies a sentence similarity judgment model based on Natural Language Processing (NLP). Utilizing Korean natural language processing technology and machine learning-based automatic classification principles, the AI automatically grades learners’ short-answer responses at the sentence level, including phrases and clauses.
The ‘KReaD AI Literacy Training Service’ is available to all elementary school students who can participate without signing up through Daekyo’s Noonopi iBT Academic Diagnostic Evaluation website. After solving problems designed to improve thinking skills, reading comprehension, and sentence skills, learners receive an objective result analysis sheet to assess their literacy level.
