'Pirate 2' to Open During Next Year's Lunar New Year Holiday

On the 29th, Lotte Entertainment announced that 'Pirates: The Goblin's Flag' (Director Kim Jeong-hoon, hereafter 'Pirates 2') will be released during the Lunar New Year holiday next year.
'Pirates 2' is the sequel to 'Pirates: The Bandit Who Went to the Sea,' which was released in 2014 and watched by 8.66 million viewers. Although the release schedule had been under review, it was not confirmed until now.
Lotte stated, "Recently, the vaccination completion rate has surpassed 70%, and with the easing policies for implementing 'With Corona' starting November 1, the film market is expected to regain vitality. We anticipate this to be a precursor to the recovery of the film market in 2022."
