Inspection of Rice Pest Damage Sites... Jeonbuk Province Plans to Propose Measures at Party Level
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, will visit Jeonbuk, where rice diseases and pests have caused significant damage, on the 30th to inspect the damage situation.
According to local political circles on the 29th, Leader Song is scheduled to visit the rice disease and pest damage sites in Eunpali, Gwanghwal-myeon, Gimje City, and Sinseong-ri, Bongdong-eup, Wanju County on the day.
The Jeonbuk provincial government is expected to request Leader Song to conduct detailed climate analysis to have the rice disease and pest damage recognized as an agricultural disaster.
Leader Song's visit to Jeonbuk on the day will be attended by Kim Seong-ju, provincial party chairman, Assemblyman Ahn Ho-young, Assemblyman Lee Won-taek, along with Governor Song Ha-jin, Mayor Park Jun-bae of Gimje, and County Governor Kwon Ik-hyun of Buan.
Meanwhile, according to Jeonbuk Province, as of September 13, a total of 49,303 hectares of rice fields have been damaged by diseases and pests in Jeonbuk.
