View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank held a demo day for its startup incubation platform ‘IBK Changgong (創工) Busan’ at the Paradise Hotel in Busan on the 29th.
The demo day is the final stage of IBK’s startup incubation program ‘IBK Changgong,’ where participating companies introduce their products and business models to investors and outsiders to attract investment.
The event, attended by 10 companies from the ‘IBK Changgong Busan 5th cohort,’ was held in conjunction with the schedule of ‘Busan Startup Week Bounce (BSW Bounce) 2021,’ the largest startup event in the Busan area, to contribute to revitalizing the startup ecosystem. An IBK official stated, “We hope that through the demo day, participating companies will attract investment and discover business partners, producing meaningful results,” and added, “We plan to strengthen support according to the growth stages of startups and continuously provide differentiated support programs for innovative companies.”

Through IBK Changgong, IBK Industrial Bank has nurtured a total of 369 companies by September this year, providing financial services such as investment and loans amounting to 363.7 billion KRW, and non-financial services including mentoring, consulting, and IR a total of 4,932 times. Currently, applications are open for the ‘IBK Changgong (創工) 2022 First Half Innovative Startup Companies,’ selecting about 55 companies across three centers: Mapo (20 companies), Guro (20 companies), and Busan (15 companies). Applications can be submitted through the IBK Changgong website until November 16.
