Park Solmoe Novelist and Jo Yongmi Poet Selected for the 2021 Dongri Mokwol Literary Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Dongri Mokwol Literary Society announced on the 28th that the winners of the 2021 Dongri Mokwol Literary Award are novelist Park Solmoe and poet Jo Yongmi. The awarded works are Park Solmoe's novel "Future Walk Practice" and Jo Yongmi's poetry collection "Your Beauty."
The Dongri Mokwol Literary Award was established to honor the literary spirit of novelist Kim Dongri and poet Park Mokwol, both from Gyeongju, with a prize of 60 million KRW each.
Novelist Park Solmoe, the recipient of the Dongri Literary Award, is from Gwangju and began her literary career in 2009 with the Jaum & Moeum New Writer Award. She has received the Kim Seungok Literary Award, Munji Literary Award, and Kim Hyun Literary Badge, among others. Park Solmoe expressed her gratitude, saying, "I want to deeply hold this thankful feeling in my heart and continue to write proper works well every day."
Poet Jo Yongmi, the recipient of the Mokwol Literary Award, is from Goryeong, Gyeongbuk, and debuted in 1990 through Hangil Literature. She has received the Kim Daljin Literary Award, Kim Junsung Literary Award, and Gosan Literary Grand Prize. She stated, "I will become a poet who values words, sparing and refining them."

The 2021 Dongri Mokwol Literary Award ceremony is scheduled to be held on November 12 at the Giparang Hall in Hwarang Village, Gyeongju.
