Korea Employers Federation Issues Statement on the Death of Roh Tae-woo
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] The Korea Employers Federation (KEF) stated on the 26th that despite various conflicting evaluations regarding former President Roh Tae-woo's tenure, he achieved accomplishments such as the Seoul Olympics and the Northern Policy.
In a statement released that day, KEF said, "Although there are various conflicting evaluations of the late president's tenure, he laid the foundation for improving our country's diplomatic status and national economic development through hosting the Seoul Olympics, simultaneous admission of South and North Korea to the United Nations (UN), and establishing official diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and China."
