KCC Glass Publishes Its First ESG Report
Disclosure of Various ESG Management Achievements Including Air Pollution Emission Reduction, Solar Power Facility Installation, and GRS Acquisition
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] KCC Glass has published its first 'ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Report' since its establishment last year, initiating transparent communication with stakeholders about its commitment to and achievements in sustainable management.
Through the publication of the ESG report, KCC Glass plans to transparently disclose its various ESG management efforts and practice global-level sustainable management. Since its inception, KCC Glass has actively pursued ESG management, including joining the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) to participate in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
This report is structured based on the newly established ESG management strategy. It was prepared in accordance with global standards, including the international ESG disclosure guidelines GRI Standards, ISO26000, and the UN SDGs, detailing performance and future plans in the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance.
In particular, KCC Glass’s various activities to minimize environmental impact and R&D efforts for producing eco-friendly products are transparently disclosed. Key achievements include △reducing air pollution emissions through the installation of air pollution control facilities △installing solar power generation equipment on business site buildings to utilize idle spaces △obtaining the ‘Global Recycled Standard (GRS)’ certification for major products. Additionally, the report includes community contribution activities aimed at realizing the social contribution vision of a 'Happy World Living Together' and efforts to enhance product quality and safety to increase customer value.
