Chosun University and Gwangju Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency Join Hands for Cultural Content Industry Development

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chosun University announced on the 24th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (GITCT) on the 21st to promote the development of the cultural content industry and expand mutual cooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Chosun University President Min Young-don and GITCT Director Tak Yong-seok, along with Chosun University Planning and Coordination Director Kim Chun-sung, Deputy Director Kim Hyun-woo, Strategic Planning Team Leader Noh Kyung-hwan, GITCT Content Division Head Park Ha-young, Strategic Planning Team Leader Cha Hyuk-ryeol, and Senior Game Industry Team Member Kim Sung-hoon.
Through this agreement, Chosun University and GITCT plan to expand joint projects and promote the development of the cultural content industry through mutual cooperation.
The detailed contents of the agreement include ▲ joint research to revitalize and expand the base of the cultural content industry ▲ mutual cooperation to create and sustain the cultural content industry ecosystem in the region ▲ mutual cooperation in training specialized personnel related to the cultural content industry in the region ▲ mutual cooperation and promotion of linked projects related to the e-sports industry ▲ support for human resource development such as industry-commissioned education and student field training ▲ and cooperation on other necessary matters such as information exchange and promotion between the two organizations.
President Min Young-don said, “This agreement is expected to promote the cultural content business and linked e-sports projects, leading to future growth in related fields. We will actively support the training of specialized personnel and work together to nurture human resources for the cultural content business through student field training.”
Meanwhile, the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency aims to lead the regional industry and economy by establishing strategies for the promotion of the region’s key industries, such as cultural content and ICT convergence industries, and providing various support. It is also leading the realization of an Asian cultural hub city and an AI-centered city by building infrastructure such as the Gwangju Realistic Content Cube and the AI-centered Industrial Convergence Complex.
