Jeonju City Activates COVID-19 Daily Recovery Support Team

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 25th that it plans to form and operate the ‘Jeonju City COVID-19 Daily Life Recovery Support Group’ for rapid and thorough response by sector such as economic livelihood and quarantine medical care in preparation for the government’s comprehensive roadmap announcement on phased daily life recovery scheduled for the 29th.

According to the city, the COVID-19 Daily Life Recovery Support Group will be composed of about 20 members, including Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-su as the head and private committee members who are experts in each field.

Within the support group, two subcommittees will be established: △Economic Livelihood △Quarantine Medical Care, each serving as a communication channel to primarily collect advisory opinions on sector-specific agendas.

The Economic Livelihood subcommittee will handle agendas such as recovery of damages for small business owners and self-employed individuals, support for corporate, financial, employment, and labor sectors, and support for recovery in social and cultural fields.

Additionally, the Health and Medical subcommittee will discuss social distancing, vaccination, measures to prevent infection spread, and the establishment of medical systems.

Jeonju City plans to hold an appointment ceremony for the support group members on the 28th and then begin full-scale discussions.

Meanwhile, phased daily life recovery (With COVID-19) refers to establishing a quarantine system that focuses on preventing deaths and managing critically ill patients rather than expending resources to suppress confirmed cases, and gradually easing social distancing measures to restore daily life to the pre-COVID-19 state.
