On the 25th, the party held an executive meeting to launch the Special Committee for Public Verification and finalized the appointment of the nominated executive members, which had been vacant. The Public Verification Special Committee is an expanded reorganization of the ‘Daejang-dong Task Force,’ with former lawmaker Kim Jin-tae appointed as the chairperson. The committee’s main target is effectively Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
At the meeting, Party Leader Lee Jun-seok stated, "The Special Committee will conduct the primary review of issues related to candidate Lee, including the Daejang-dong allegations, and other organizations will provide support." The party’s Fair Election Promotion Group, chaired by Executive Member Kim Jae-won, will act as a shield against external attacks, while the newly formed Special Committee is expected to take on an offensive role against candidate Lee.
As a nominated executive member, lawmaker Yoon Young-seok was appointed. This position had been left vacant by Leader Lee, who took office in June with the intention of integrating with the People’s Party, but as People’s Party Leader Ahn Cheol-soo began preparing for a solo presidential run, the seat was filled. After the meeting, Leader Lee told reporters, "The vacancy was meant to accommodate the People’s Party, but judging by Leader Ahn’s actions, it seems that accommodation is no longer possible."

On the same day, the People Power Party officially launched its Ethics Committee. Chaired by Lee Yang-hee, the committee is expected to handle ethics-related matters swiftly. Discussions are anticipated regarding lawmakers who have been asked to resign or expelled following the real estate investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. The party’s Task Force for Strengthening Public Office Candidates’ Competence is also nearing completion. Leader Lee said, "We will have the final plan approved by party members at the November 5th party convention and implement it without any margin of error." One of Leader Lee’s key pledges, strengthening the competence of public office candidates, reportedly involves changing the qualification exam from a pass/fail system to a point-based system, an alternative to his original plan.
