LG Electronics Opens Complex Cultural Space 'Libre de Seocho'... "Expecting to Enhance Employee Creativity"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] LG Electronics announced on the 25th that it recently opened 'Libre de Seocho,' a small-scale complex cultural space filled with various books at its Seocho R&D Campus in Seoul to help employees express their creativity.
Previously, this space was simply a place where books were kept, but it has been transformed into a multi-library zone for various purposes such as reading and communication, a focus zone for concentrating on work, and a relax zone for rest, in line with the new normal era. The space was designed and proposed to management with active participation from the employee representative council, the 'Junior Board,' which gathered members' opinions and took charge of the space planning and design.
Earlier, LG Electronics has been creating various open communication spaces such as 'Salon de Seocho,' inspired by a plaza, at the Seocho R&D Campus; 'Darag' on the 33rd floor of the LG Twin Towers West Building in Yeouido-dong, Seoul; and 'Jungjeong' at LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Employees engage in various activities here, including open communication with management, cultural performances, and small-scale events.
