8 More Confirmed Cases in Jeju Over the Weekend... Total Now 3,058
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Eight new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Jeju.
Jeju Province announced on the 23rd that as of 5 p.m. that day, eight new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,058.
Among the eight new infections, four are related to cluster infections at an indoor sports facility and a service industry business in Jeju City.
The province has isolated and hospitalized the confirmed patients and completed disinfection of their homes and other locations.
Additionally, based on their statements, credit card usage records, visitor logs, and analysis of on-site closed-circuit television (CCTV), authorities are tracing their movements and contacts.
The number of confirmed cases in the past week is 37, averaging 5.29 cases per day.
