Eunpyeong-gu, Inspection and Guidance of Disability Activity Support Agencies
Inspection of Accounting Management and More at 8 Disability Activity Support Agencies by the 28th
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) will conduct administrative guidance and inspections on a total of eight disability activity support institutions until the 28th.
Disability activity support institutions are designated organizations to carry out disability activity support projects. The disability activity support project aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing activity support services to those who have physical or mental disabilities and find it difficult to perform daily life and social activities alone, supporting independent living and social participation, and reducing the burden on families.
Currently, 1,287 activity supporters are working at disability activity support institutions in Eunpyeong-gu, and 1,196 registered disabled persons are using the services.
This inspection, which started on the 12th, is being conducted to enhance transparency and efficiency in operations and to prevent fraudulent receipt of subsidies by inspecting accounting management and overall operations of disability activity support institutions.
The inspection is carried out by five employees from the district's Disability Welfare Division who visit the sites.
The key inspection items include ▲inspection of accounting management of service providers ▲salary and status check of activity support personnel ▲whether education for disabled users and activity supporters is conducted ▲inspection of the management of the operation committee ▲inspection of service provision record management ▲inspection of fraudulent receipt related to disabled persons and activity support, among others.
According to the inspection results, minor violations will be addressed on-site, and if misuse of subsidies or legal violations are confirmed, administrative measures such as subsidy recovery will be taken in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
