Gwangju Seo-gu Pungam-dong Welfare Council Shares Healthy Foods for Autumn
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Bojang Council of Pungam-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairman Kwon Jae-hwan) recently took the initiative to care for the health of vulnerable neighbors in the area by distributing carefully prepared health supplements in anticipation of the sudden drop in temperature.
According to Seo-gu on the 22nd, about 20 people including members of the Pungam-dong Bojang Council, Pungam-dong Volunteer Camp leaders, and related public officials assembled packages containing eye health supplements, multivitamins, and red ginseng extract, which were delivered to neighbors in need who usually find it difficult to purchase health supplements on their own.
In addition, hand-knitted scrubbers made by members of the Pungam-dong Volunteer Camp leaders were packaged together to help not only with the recipients’ health management but also to maintain a hygienic environment.
Members of the Pungam-dong Bojang Council personally delivered the health supplements to 100 households of recipients and care targets in the area and checked on their well-being.
Chairman Kwon Jae-hwan of the Bojang Council said, “I am very concerned about the health of our care neighbors in the area due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the dropping temperatures.” He added, “I hope the health supplements delivered today will be helpful and allow them to live a little healthier.”
