Hyundai Motor Labor and Management Support Educational Infrastructure in Ulsan Area Schools
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] On the 22nd, Hyundai Motor Company’s labor and management delivered a social contribution fund of 10 million KRW to the Ulsan Social Welfare Council at the Ulsan Gangbuk Office of Education to support local school education.
This fund will be allocated with 5 million KRW each to Sang-an Middle School in Buk-gu and Maegok High School, and is planned to be used for purchasing educational equipment.
In April of this year, Hyundai Motor’s labor and management also provided 30 million KRW to six schools near the Ulsan plant, including Yangjeong Elementary School and Goheon Middle School, to expand resources such as books, blackboards, book sterilizers, and sports equipment.

Hyundai Motor’s labor and management also supported a fund of 50 million KRW in May for welfare and cultural projects for residents in the Yangjeong and Yeompo areas surrounding the Ulsan plant. On the 22nd, Hyundai Motor’s labor and management received a plaque of appreciation from the Yangjeong-dong Residents’ Autonomous Committee.
