Father grabs 9-year-old son's hair, throws him down, and stomps on him
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 30s who assaulted his 9-year-old son was arrested by the police.
Seoul Dobong Police Station announced on the 22nd that they have booked Mr. A (36) without detention on charges of physical abuse under the Child Welfare Act and are currently investigating him.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of assaulting his elementary school-aged son at their home in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, around 9 p.m. on the 20th, scolding him for only playing games.
Police investigation revealed that he grabbed his son's hair, threw him down while saying "You get out," and repeatedly stepped on him with his foot.
The police, who responded to the report, took Mr. A into custody voluntarily and separated the son by placing him in a temporary shelter.
