Gwangju Seo-gu Council Passes Ordinance on Supporting Walking Activation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairman Kim Tae-young) announced on the 18th that the "Ordinance on Supporting the Activation of Walking in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City," proposed by Councilor Kang Ki-seok, was passed at the recent 299th Extraordinary Session Planning and General Affairs Committee meeting.
Councilor Kang Ki-seok stated, "We have established the basis to enable a walking activation project that any district resident can participate in to be promoted more systematically and stably," adding, "Through the enactment of this ordinance, we hope that various walking projects that residents can enjoy participating in will be implemented, walking environments will be created, and the health of Seo-gu residents will be enhanced."
