Hanjin Receives UN International Eco-Friendly Certification GRP Highest Grade

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hanjin announced on the 18th that it has been awarded the highest grade (AAA) in the GRP (Global Recognition Program for Climate Change Response and Plastic Reduction), a UN voluntary international environmental certification, in recognition of its achievements in eco-friendly logistics activities.
GRP is an international environmental certification system initiated as a voluntary commitment by the UN and the private sector. The evaluation covers six industry sectors: infrastructure industries (petroleum & chemical, energy, construction & plant), fashion & apparel, distribution & logistics, food & beverage, beauty & cosmetics, and franchise food & tourism facilities. The grades range from the highest AAA to AA+, AA, and AA-.
Hanjin received favorable evaluations for its green logistics practices such as electric delivery vehicles, eco-friendly engine oil, eco-friendly wing boxes and uniforms, operation of an upcycling platform, and in-house zero-waste challenges, as well as its continuous efforts to internalize and spread awareness of the importance of solving social issues and protecting the environment.
