Barunson Produces New Films by Directors Jo Seong-hee, Kim Ji-woon, and Lim Dae-hyung
Strengthening the Writing Team with Park Jaebum, Lee Jimin, Im Seonghan, and Im Sumi
The production company Barunson revealed the outline of its next lineup on the 18th, following titles such as "The Good, the Bad, the Weird," "Mother," and "The Outlaws." They plan to produce films and dramas across various genres, led by multiple directors and writers. The directors preparing new works include Cho Sung-hee of "Space Sweepers," Lim Dae-hyung of "Moonlit Winter," Jeon Go-woon of "Microhabitat," Lim Pil-sung of "Madame Bbangdeok," Son Young-sung of "The Client," Kim Dae-hwan of "Cheorwon Trip," Shin Dong-seok of "Alive," and Jung Hyuk-ki of "Pansori Boxer." Kim Ji-woon, known for "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" and "A Bittersweet Life," and Shin Woo-cheol, who produced "Lovers in Paris," "Secret Garden," and "Melting Me Softly," are also preparing new projects together.

The roster of writers is equally impressive. Park Jae-beom of "Vincenzo" and "The Fiery Priest," Lee Ji-min of "The Age of Shadows" and "The Man Standing Next," Im Sung-han of "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)," Lim Soo-mi of "Old Miss Diary" and "Ugly Miss Young-ae," Jeon Cheol-hong of "The Admiral: Roaring Currents," "Kundo: Age of the Rampant," and "Sinkhole," Jung Ha-yong of "Steel Rain," Choi Min-seok of "My Brilliant Life" and "Blind," and Han Sang-woon of "The Good Wife" are all writing new works. They have also acquired the rights to various original works for adaptation, including "Summer, Somewhere a Corpse," "Country Without a Country," and "The Murder Case of King Uija: Eungo." A company representative added, "'National Free Economic High School Cecil High,' 'Dark Prosecutor,' 'Prosecutor's Childcare Diary,' 'The Crown Prince's Murder Method,' and 'Please Fill My Desire' are also being adapted into scripts." Collaborative projects with other studios are underway as well. They are adapting the popular webtoon "Fog Tomb" into a film with Studio N and producing the movie "Yeonnam-dong 33" with writer Yoo Young-ah's Geulmoe. As part of an industry-academia cooperation project with the Korea National University of Arts' School of Film, they are preparing "The Bread-Baking Woman Ryu Seon-je" and "Aunt Young-ja."
