Seoul City Appoints Lee Chang-gi as CEO of Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture
Five Board Members Including CEO of Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Elected Under Cultural Headquarters... Actor Park Sang-won Appointed Chairman
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 18th that it will appoint five new executives to the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture under the vacant Culture Headquarters.
The new CEO of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, Lee Chang-gi, previously served as CEO of the Mapo Cultural Foundation, director of the Gangdong Art Center, and head of the management division at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government stated, "This new CEO is an arts management expert who is active as vice president of the Korea Performing Arts Management Association and the Korean Cultural Economics Association, and is expected to greatly contribute to the stable operation of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture," adding, "Park Sang-won, the new chairman, is evaluated to contribute to the foundation's external activities through his high reputation and abundant expertise accumulated while working in the performing arts sector."
In addition, Seoul appointed Seo Seong-gyo, a special professor at Konkuk University Graduate School of Public Administration; Lee Eun-mi, an associate professor at Baekseok Arts University; and Lee Chang-hee, an editorial board member of Ilyo Shinmun, as appointed directors to strengthen expertise in various fields.
