KakaoBank and Dell Discuss Collaboration Plans in Future Financial Platform Sector
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KakaoBank announced on the 18th that it discussed cooperation plans with Dell Technologies in the future financial platform sector.
Yoon Ho-young, CEO of KakaoBank, and Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell, along with executives from both companies, recently met online to share their directions regarding the rapidly changing global financial industry and exchanged opinions on cooperation plans.
Dell, as a leading global IT company, supplies a comprehensive IT portfolio to global financial institutions, ranging from infrastructure solutions such as cloud, servers, and storage to IT consulting and implementation services, as well as client solutions including PCs and monitors. Currently, KakaoBank utilizes Dell’s solutions and services in various areas such as servers, network equipment, and data storage.
The two companies held an online meeting to discuss ways to sustain and strengthen their partnership to secure competitiveness in the era of digital transformation (DT) in finance. Through this meeting, KakaoBank presented its strategy to become the number one retail bank and financial platform, along with the direction of mobile banking, while Dell shared its achievements as a leader in the global cloud infrastructure and client solution markets and trends among global financial institutions.
