Naju Natural Dyeing Foundation, Exhibition of Award-Winning Works from the Natural Dyeing Cultural Product Competition

View original image[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] The Naju City Natural Dyeing Culture Foundation (Chairman Kang In-gyu) announced on the 17th that it will exhibit the award-winning works of the "16th Korea Natural Dyeing Cultural Product Competition" at the Korean Natural Dyeing Museum's special exhibition hall until the 31st.
The Korea Natural Dyeing Cultural Product Competition is the only domestic natural dyeing cultural product contest held by the foundation with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Jeollanam-do Province, and Naju City.
From July 22 to August 17, submissions were accepted and judged under the theme "Our Beautiful Hangul."
This exhibition features 21 works, including the grand prize-winning piece "Gil" by artist Kim Myung-sook, who received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award; the gold prize-winning joint work "Dal, Embracing Hangul" by artists Kang Deok-ri and Lee Mi-sook, awarded the Governor of Jeollanam-do Prize; as well as silver prize winners such as Lee Young-hee's "Birth" and Kim Yeon-hwa's "Outing," who received the Naju Mayor's Award.
Kim Wang-sik, director of the Korean Natural Dyeing Museum, stated, "Many of the works in this exhibition are natural dyeing cultural products that apply various fields and techniques. We expect it to provide not only an opportunity to appreciate high-quality natural dyeing works but also ideas for product development."
