Police Receive Complaint Against Shim Seok-hee Over 'Illegal Wiretapping Suspicion'
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A complaint regarding illegal wiretapping related to short track national team athlete Shim Seok-hee, who has recently been involved in several controversies, has also been filed with the police.
On the 15th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency explained that the issue of illegal wiretapping involving athlete Shim was received through the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's online petition system and was transferred to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. The department to be assigned has not yet been decided.
The complaint reportedly contains a request to punish Shim for secretly recording someone else's conversation during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
