Youth Justice Party Submits Prosecution Complaint Alleging Lee Jae-yong's 'Paper Company Establishment' Suspicion
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The Youth Justice Party has filed a complaint with the prosecution regarding suspicions of paper company establishment by Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
On the 15th, the Youth Justice Party announced that they filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against Vice Chairman Lee this morning on charges of tax evasion, overseas property concealment, concealment of criminal proceeds, and false representation.
Kang Min-jin, leader of the Youth Justice Party, stated, "It was recently revealed through reports that Vice Chairman Lee established a paper company in a tax haven," adding, "There is a strong suspicion that Lee, who needed a 'secret account' to divert his father's secretly managed slush funds overseas, established a paper company in a tax haven to open such an account."
