’Thank You for Your Efforts in COVID-19 Prevention’
Thank-You Letters and Health Supplements Delivered to Over 210 Medical Staff Members
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks (Director Kim Ji-yong) announced on the 15th that it has launched a support campaign for the medical staff at Gwangyang City Health Center who are dedicated to the frontline of COVID-19 prevention.
Since last month, POSCO has been conducting a gratitude support relay by delivering messages of encouragement and thank-you gifts to health centers and COVID-19 dedicated hospitals located in Gwangyang, Pohang, and the metropolitan area, where POSCO Group’s business sites are located, starting with the Yeonsu-gu Health Center in Incheon.
As part of the campaign, on the 15th, Gwangyang Steelworks visited Gwangyang City Health Center to deliver handwritten letters of appreciation and 210 sets of red ginseng sticks.
POSCO employees working in Gwangyang personally participated in creating the handwritten letters to support the medical staff working hard on COVID-19 prevention.
Park Ju-pil, director of Gwangyang City Health Center, said, "We are grateful for the generous support given to the medical staff exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "The encouragement messages written sincerely by the employees will be especially empowering."
Meanwhile, in February, POSCO also delivered more than 2,500 support kits containing about 10 types of items, including health functional foods to boost immunity and anti-fogging eyeglass cleaners, packed in eco-friendly bags, to medical staff at COVID-19 dedicated hospitals in the metropolitan area.
