No Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, attended the ‘2021 Resident Autonomy Association Chairperson Leadership Training’ held in the district office’s large conference room on the afternoon of the 14th.
This event was organized to encourage the efforts of the Resident Autonomy Association, who have devoted themselves to village development, and to strengthen the capabilities of the Resident Autonomy Association.
Mayor No Hyun-song said, “I deeply appreciate the efforts of the Resident Autonomy Association who have quietly fulfilled their roles for the successful establishment of resident autonomy throughout the region,” and added, “The district will also do its best to develop resident autonomy and realize grassroots democracy.”

Yeongdeungpo-gu and Ulleung-gun agreed to form a sisterhood relationship for regional development and mutual prosperity and promised to continue various exchanges and cooperation in administration, culture, tourism, economy, and other fields.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, visited the Gwangjin-gu and Nowon-gu joint residential treatment center on the afternoon of the 14th to check the operation status and encourage the staff.
Gwangjin-gu has newly established and is operating a residential treatment center for COVID-19 confirmed residents since October 5. This is to accommodate and treat asymptomatic or mild patients who do not require hospitalization in specialized medical institutions amid the still high daily number of confirmed cases.
The center has 192 rooms and 222 beds and is jointly operated with Nowon-gu, a cooperating district.
Admission is in principle limited to residents of Gwangjin-gu and the cooperating district, and patients must be asymptomatic or mild with a body temperature below 38°C. Even those with underlying diseases are eligible only if controllable with medication, while smokers and pregnant women are excluded.
The operation of the center is overseen by Gwangjin-gu, which handles ▲budget execution and accounting ▲selection and management of external contract personnel ▲and other operational matters, while the cooperating district shares personnel and various support for operation.
Since March this year, the district has been jointly operating the residential treatment center with neighboring autonomous districts. From the end of last year to early this year, for two months, local lodging facilities were designated as residential treatment centers, accommodating 144 asymptomatic confirmed residents.
