On the 13th, a post titled "My younger brother became paralyzed in the lower body three weeks after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine" was posted on an online community.
The author, Mr. A, said, "My younger brother was resting at home after getting the vaccine, and at first, he felt a tingling sensation like a cramp. We thought a short walk would help, or that time would heal it, but as time passed, his lower body stopped moving. Within less than an hour, he became unable to walk."
He continued, "(My brother) went to a university hospital in Ulsan for a CT scan, but the hospital said, 'There is something visible in the lower back, but we are not sure exactly what it is.'
Then, "He was transported by ambulance to a university hospital in Seoul, and since then, he has been hospitalized in the emergency ward for observation. However, they also said, 'We do not know exactly why the paralysis suddenly occurred,' and suggested staying hospitalized to investigate further. After that, he underwent CT scans, MRI scans, and all possible tests, but they only diagnosed spinal inflammation," he added.
Mr. A appealed, "The doctor said, 'The spinal inflammation was not caused by the COVID vaccine,' but the family believes it is a side effect of the COVID vaccine. My brother was healthy before (the vaccination), and he was not taking any medication nor suffering from any illness."
