Lotteria Introduces Contactless 'Unmanned Pickup' System at Offline Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte GRS's burger franchise brand Lotteria announced on the 14th that it has introduced an offline contactless 'unmanned pickup' system at the Seolleung branch in Gangnam-gu in collaboration with Lotte Data Communication.
The unmanned pickup system being test-operated at Lotteria Seolleung branch eliminates the face-to-face process from ordering to receiving products, operating the entire store process unmanned, and separates the pickup spaces for in-store orders and delivery orders.
The Lotteria unmanned pickup locker guides customers to the unmanned pickup locker where they can receive their products by verifying the barcode at the bottom of the receipt issued after ordering through the unmanned ordering device, and products can be picked up by touch.
In addition, the flow paths where existing in-store customers pick up products and delivery service pickups are mixed have been separated, creating a delivery service-only pickup zone to separate the flow paths from in-store customers, and HOT and COLD zones have been separated to maintain product temperature by type.
Lotte GRS plans to review the introduction of unmanned automated systems utilizing food tech, such as completely contactless operation of the store counter after introducing the new unmanned pickup service at Lotteria Seolleung branch, and an unmanned pickup system outside the store that allows product pickup without entering the store in the future.
