Woori Financial Group Donates 500 Blood Donation Certificates to Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Woori Financial Group announced on the 14th that on the 13th, a blood donation certificate handover ceremony was held at the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation located in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, attended by Choi Dong-su, Vice President of Woori Financial Group, and Seo Seon-won, Secretary General of the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation.
To help address the blood shortage caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Woori Financial Group conducted the "Love Blood Donation Campaign" for two months starting in June. Employees from all group companies participated in the campaign by visiting blood donation centers or using blood donation buses.
The 500 blood donation certificates collected through the voluntary contributions of Woori Financial Group employees will be used to support pediatric patients battling childhood cancer and rare incurable diseases.
A Woori Financial Group official said, "In a situation where blood supply and demand have become critical due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that the blood donation certificates donated by our employees will provide some help and hope to children fighting childhood cancer and rare incurable diseases."

Meanwhile, the "Love Blood Donation Campaign," now in its 16th year, has been held annually since 2006 after Woori Bank and the Korean Red Cross signed a blood donation agreement. The blood donation certificates donated by employees are delivered to support patients battling leukemia, childhood cancer, and other rare incurable diseases.
