On the 13th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government held the 1st Urban Regeneration Committee Delegated Subcommittee and announced on the 14th that the urban regeneration activation plan for Junghwa 2-dong was approved with modifications.
This urban regeneration project is the first case reflecting 'urban regeneration restructuring,' which goes beyond the existing preservation and management-centered urban regeneration to include maintenance and development. In the future, small-scale maintenance projects such as autonomous housing maintenance projects and street housing maintenance projects tailored to regional characteristics will be discovered and promoted together.
The area located at 329-38 Junghwa 2-dong, Jungnang-gu (144,426㎡) is a low-rise residential area formed after the land readjustment project in the 1970s. Since the redevelopment promotion project was suspended, the overall residential environment has been deteriorating.
Jungnang-gu, to restore the residential environment of the area, went through the Hope Area Project and was designated as a Seoul-type urban regeneration activation area in April 2019. Last November, it was selected as an Urban Regeneration New Deal project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, receiving additional project funding.
With the approval of this review, six seed projects in three sectors will be promoted in the area. ▲ The Onsedae Eoullimteo Creation Project, which renews Sehwa Park and establishes Bodam Eoullim Creative Zone, a childcare hub ▲ The Taereung Market Reform Project, which includes a meal kit development project that develops and sells food products using Taereung Market and a neighborhood commercial district landscape renewal project ▲ The Bodam Win-Win Living Lab Project, which creates the Green Community Factory used as a meal kit workshop and a win-win village management office for village management.
