Yeosu City to Open Online 'Namdo Food Culture Festival' on the 15th
A Feast for the Senses with Digital Media Programs Offering Rich Visual Experiences
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] The Namdo Food Culture Festival, which was canceled last year due to the impact of COVID-19, will return as an online festival for three days starting from the 15th under the theme "Connecting the World with the Taste of Namdo."
Hosted jointly by Jeollanam-do and Yeosu City and organized by the Namdo Food Culture Festival Foundation (hereafter the Foundation), this event will mostly be held online. However, only those possessing a "Green Pass" (vaccination certificate) will be allowed to visit the exhibition halls prepared at the expo site.
The Foundation has established online platforms for festival operations, including a YouTube channel (Namdo Food Culture Festival TV), SNS, and a homepage. A large electronic display board will be installed inside the exhibition hall at the expo site to broadcast various online programs live.
Representative online programs include △ Namdo Food Cooking Classes △ Namdo Harvest Festival △ Master Chef Recipe △ Namdo Food Styling, and programs such as △ Namdo Food Busker △ Namdo Food Music Video △ Virtual Travel "1 Night 2 Days," set against the backdrop of Yeosu's tourist attractions, are expected to bring enjoyment to citizens and participants.
In particular, a relay congratulatory message featuring heads of cities and counties in Jeollanam-do, △ "Connecting Namdo," along with characters from each city and county, will take place in a metaverse virtual space, attracting attention.
Additionally, starting at 11 a.m. on the 14th, programs such as △ Yeosu 10 Delicacies Live Commerce, where you can purchase Gat Kimchi and Soy Sauce Marinated Crab at discounted prices via Naver Shopping Live, and △ Neighborhood Stores Together for Small Business Owners will be available.
At the Yeosu World Expo site, △ Namdo Food Video Hall △ Exhibition Halls of 22 Cities and Counties and Master Chef Hall △ Yeosu Hall can be visited upon presentation of the Green Pass (14 days after the second vaccine dose).
The exhibition events will strictly adhere to social distancing and quarantine guidelines, including phased visitor limits and temperature checks.
The Foundation is conducting extensive promotional activities for the 27th Namdo Food Culture Festival through YouTube comment events and SNS sharing events.
