Minister of Unification Lee In-young Walks the DMZ with EU Ambassadors, Appeals for 'Participation in Ending the War'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Lee In-young, Minister of Unification, urged ambassadors of European Union (EU) member countries in South Korea to join the 'End of War on the Korean Peninsula' as they walked through the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
The Ministry of Unification announced that on the morning of the 12th, Minister Lee participated in the 'Walking the Peace Road in Goseong' event hosted by the gathering of EU member country ambassadors in South Korea.
This is part of the EU ambassadors' retreat schedule held in Goseong from the 11th to the 13th.
Minister Lee held a policy briefing for the attending ambassadors on inter-Korean relations and North Korea policy, requesting the continuous support and cooperation of EU countries for ▲resuming dialogue with North Korea ▲active humanitarian and livelihood cooperation.

Minister Lee stated, "Through the declaration of the end of war on the Korean Peninsula, we must create a starting point to transform the current incomplete peace into complete peace," and requested, "We ask the international community to join the journey toward ending the war and establishing peace on the Korean Peninsula as friends of peace."
