Seoul Social Service Institute and Association of Social Welfare Centers Establish Community Welfare Safety Net
Signing of a Business Agreement for Organic Community Care
Post-Management of Care SOS Service and Connection to Local Social Welfare Centers... Ensuring Continuity of Care Services
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Social Service Institute announced on the 12th that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Social Welfare Center Association on the 13th to establish a community welfare safety net.
This agreement was prepared for both organizations to build a community-centered safety net and establish a public delivery system to ensure the continuity of care services. The main contents of the MOU include ▲ establishing a safety net through the operation of an integrated delivery system centered on Seoul's local communities ▲ building a linked operation system for post-management of the Care SOS Service.
The MOU signing ceremony will be held on the 13th on the 12th floor of the Seoul Social Service Institute, with relevant personnel attending while adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
Based on this agreement, the Seoul Social Service Institute plans to build a local safety net by referring clients who have completed the Care SOS Service or require integrated case management or continuous services among other emergency care service recipients to comprehensive social welfare centers within the community.
Currently, the Seoul Social Service Institute provides temporary home care services in connection with the Care SOS Center and is striving to eliminate care blind spots by expanding differentiated Care SOS Services such as visit monitoring and post-service management.
In addition, the Seoul Social Service Institute and the Seoul Social Welfare Center Association will continuously discuss and establish a mutual cooperation system to improve policies and systems for the development of welfare in Seoul.
Park Kyung-won, Head of Strategic Projects at the Seoul Social Service Institute, said, “Through the agreement with the Seoul Social Welfare Center Association, we plan to establish a foundation for providing complementary care services,” adding, “We will do our best to enhance public interest by building a solid community safety net so that the elderly have no worries about care.”
