70s Arrested for Throwing Flowerpot at Police Officer's Head from 9th Floor of Apartment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] A man in his 70s who fled after storming into a convenience store with a weapon and then threw a flowerpot over the head of a police officer who arrived on the 9th floor of an apartment building was arrested in the act.
According to the police on the 11th, Mr. A is accused of threatening an employee with a weapon at a convenience store in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, around 10 p.m. the previous day, and after leaving the store, throwing a flowerpot at the police officer who arrived on the 9th floor of the apartment where he lives. It was reported that the convenience store employee was not injured.
The police searched Mr. A's home and arrested him. Burnt household items were reportedly found in the house. The police arrested him on charges of obstructing official duties with violence and are also investigating robbery charges.
