COVID-19 Treatment Hospital Workers to Begin 'Booster Shot' Vaccinations Tomorrow
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Additional vaccinations, commonly known as 'booster shots,' will begin for healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients.
According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team) on the 11th, starting from the 12th, additional vaccinations will be administered sequentially to those who have completed the primary vaccination series and for whom six months have passed among workers at COVID-19 treatment hospitals.
The target group consists of approximately 45,000 workers at about 160 COVID-19 treatment hospitals, including designated base hospitals for COVID-19 patient care, infectious disease specialized hospitals, and medical institutions with severe patient treatment beds.
These individuals completed their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine between March 20 and April 2, and the additional vaccination period will last until the 30th of this month.

The additional vaccinations will also be conducted using the Pfizer vaccine, and the vaccinations will be administered independently at the medical institutions to which the workers belong.
