Pakistani Nuclear Scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, Who Transferred Nuclear Technology to North Korea, Passes Away
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Abdul Qadeer Khan, a nuclear scientist known as the 'Father of Pakistan's Nuclear Development,' has died at the age of 85, AFP reported on the 10th (local time).
According to Pakistan's state-run PTV, Dr. Khan passed away after being hospitalized due to a lung disease.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was known to have participated in nuclear and missile technology cooperation with North Korea in the 1990s and admitted in 2004 to transferring nuclear technology to North Korea, Libya, and Iran. He is revered in his country as a hero who made Pakistan the first Islamic nation to possess nuclear weapons.
