On the 8th, at Blue Heron Golf Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 6,736 yards), during the second day of the final major of the 2021 KLPGA Tour season, the Hite Jinro Championship (total prize money 1 billion KRW), she surged with a 7-under-par round to top the leaderboard at 8-under-par 136 strokes. Kim Min-seon 5 (26, Korea Land Trust) is tied for first place, while ‘2-win champ’ Lee So-mi (22, SBI Savings Bank), ‘KG·Edaily champ’ Kim Su-ji (25), and Park Joo-young (31, all Dongbu Construction) are tied for third place at 7-under-par 137 strokes.
Despite the adverse rainy conditions, Lim Hee-jeong swept up 8 birdies (1 bogey). After a bogey on the 3rd hole (par 4), she recovered with a birdie on the 5th hole (par 3), then created momentum with three consecutive birdies from the 7th to 9th holes. In the back nine, she showed resilience by adding birdies on the 11th hole (par 3) and two pairs of stepping-stone birdies on the 14th, 16th, and 18th holes. Leading by one stroke in a tie for first, this is her second win of the season and fifth career victory, coming two months after the High1 Resort Ladies Open in August.
