Oh Shin-hwan: "It is a great risk for national leaders to rely on shamanism and superstition... Yoon must be scrutinized"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The campaign of former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party, stated that whether former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol relies on shamans or others should be subject to verification.
On the 8th, Oh Shin-hwan, the situation room chief of Yoo's campaign, appeared on MBC Radio and explained the background of the clash between former lawmaker Yoo and former Prosecutor General Yoon after the debate on the 5th. Oh said, "As you know, there was the incident where candidate Yoon Seok-yeol drew the character 'Wang (王)' on his palm during the 3rd, 4th, and 5th debates. Because of that, if the national leader of a country relies on shamanism or superstition as president, wouldn't that pose a very great risk?" He added, "During the debate, I mentioned concerns about Yoon's level of dependence on that and the people around him."
He continued, "If some citizens find that candidate Yoon is influenced by certain shamans or fortune-tellers in making important decisions, would the general public accept that?" He emphasized, "After the debate, there was an incident where former Prosecutor General Yoon strongly complained to former lawmaker Yoo about that part, but rather than focusing on such incidents, we need to look at the essence of the problem and approach it."
Oh also expressed that doubts remain regarding the connection between former Prosecutor General Yoon and a figure called 'Cheongong Seungsa' (Master Cheongong), whom Yoon protested against after the broadcast debate. Previously, the figure known as Cheongong Seungsa identified himself as Yoon's mentor in a media interview but recently denied it in another interview.

Regarding this, Oh said, "Cheongong Seungsa has been continuously giving lectures called Jeongbeop through YouTube interviews, and in this process, he gave nine lectures related to former Prosecutor General Yoon." He added, "We can predict that some relationship has been formed between the two." About Cheongong Seungsa's recent denial of being a mentor, Oh said, "I think it might be a situation to cover it up."
