[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Winia Dimchae announced on the 8th that it will launch a new 6-cup 'Dimchae Cook Low-Carb 50' IH pressure rice cooker, which specializes in low-carb menus and also allows easy preparation of premium sous-vide (a cooking method that heats ingredients in lukewarm water for a long time) dishes.
The Dimchae Cook Low-Carb 50 IH pressure rice cooker is equipped with Winia Dimchae's world-first developed IH pressure rice cooker low-sugar algorithm. According to the company, this algorithm can reduce carbohydrates (sugars) by up to 51% depending on the rice variety. In addition to menus specialized for low-carb, it also includes various functions reflecting recent consumer lifestyle trends such as sous-vide and red ginseng aging.
As a result of tests commissioned by Winia Dimchae to the Korea Food Science Institute, the Dimchae Cook Low-Carb 50 IH pressure rice cooker was certified to reduce carbohydrate content by 46% compared to rice cooked with a regular rice cooker (based on white rice), and up to 51% depending on the rice variety (field rice). Using the sous-vide function allows convenient preparation of dishes with minimal nutrient loss and excellent taste and texture.
Additionally, for consumers interested in health and dieting, 93 healthy cooking recipes developed directly by a rice sommelier have been added. By utilizing these healthy cooking recipes, it is possible to minimize nutrient loss such as vitamins and minerals, and easily select low-sugar, low-fat, and low-salt cooking using meat and vegetables without burning.
The new product comes in three colors: Soft Brown, Tiger Orange, and Saffron Yellow. The low-carb tray is made of 100% stainless steel, and the handle and packing can be easily detached, making product cleaning convenient. The company explained that after using the low-carb function, no water remains, ensuring hygiene, and the tray has an automatic cleaning function for clean use.
