Innocean Unveils New Brand Campaign for Freelancer Market 'Kmong'
Corporate Client and Self-Employed Campaigns
Released Online and on Outdoor Media in the Seoul Metropolitan Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Innocean Worldwide announced on the 8th that it has launched a new brand campaign for the freelancer marketplace 'Kmong.'
Kmong is a freelancer platform that has been providing intermediary platform services connecting freelancers and clients since 2012. It has shown growth of more than tenfold over the past four years.
Recently, with changes in work environments such as remote work, the number of 'gig workers' who want to assign multiple tasks simultaneously has surged, making 'freelancers' and 'N-jobbers' easy to find. In response to these changes, Kmong launched the slogan "My Ability, Up to Kmong," focusing on conveying the message that utilizing freelancers is also a demonstration of one's own work capability.
The campaign was produced in two versions: one for corporate clients and one for the self-employed. Starting with an online release on the 6th, it will be showcased through various outdoor media in the Seoul metropolitan area and TV commercials.
The corporate client version centers on the stories of office workers employed at regular companies. The self-employed version depicts the common difficulties faced by small business owners.
Yoonkyung Lee, Team Leader of Business Division 4, Team 2 at Innocean, who planned this campaign, said, "We aimed to evoke empathy through stories experienced by corporate clients and small business owners via Kmong, the leading freelancer market platform. We hope this will help break the stereotype that hiring freelancers means lacking work ability and instead encourage using skilled freelancers to enhance work performance."
Minjung Kim, Director of Marketing at Kmong, stated, "Through this Kmong campaign, we expect customers to experience a variety of categories across 11 fields, including not only the highly popular categories but also design, IT/programming, video/photo/editing, and marketing."
