Changwon Chamber of Commerce Proposes Traffic Inducement Fee Reduction to Changwon City and City Council
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry has proposed a reduction in the traffic inducement fee to Changwon City and the Changwon City Council.
According to Changwon Chamber of Commerce on the 7th, the proposal sent this time includes a request to reduce the traffic inducement fee again this year, following last year, to alleviate the burden on companies struggling with management due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Changwon Chamber of Commerce appealed that, compared to other local governments that have already implemented reductions this year, a higher level of reduction is necessary considering the situation of companies in the Changwon area, which have been directly hit by COVID-19.
A representative of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce said, "We understand that the traffic inducement fee is an economic burden imposed on facilities that cause traffic congestion," adding, "Due to COVID-19, the floating population and traffic volume have decreased, and it is necessary to ease the management burden of companies suffering from a sharp decline in sales."
