[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 7th, Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) appointed 61 exemplary students and youth who raised the temperature of kindness in the world by 1 degree as Angels of Suncheon.
The Angel Day Angel Commendation has been awarded since 2018 to students and youth who regularly practice good deeds, with the purpose of encouraging and supporting them, widely promoting their kind hearts, and nurturing them as resources to create a warmer and more laughter-filled world.
This year, students and youth who have regularly practiced various good deeds, such as regularly cutting their hair to donate to pediatric cancer patients and picking up money found on the street and bringing it to the police station, were appointed as angels. So far, about 300 students and youth have been appointed as Angels of Suncheon.
Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon said, “I hope the kind hearts of the angels will serve as an opportunity to spread not only throughout Suncheon but also to the entire nation in the future, and further to the whole world, and that they will maintain the heart of an angel as they go out into society.” He added, “I also thank the parents and teachers who raised these Angels of Suncheon.”
